All-on-4 and full-arch implants

All-on-4 is one design: four implants support a full arch. The back implants are often angled to use denser bone and stay clear of the sinus or nerve. Some mouths need five or six implants for a stronger bite.

Dr. Chad Curtis removes failing teeth, places the implants, and works with the dentist who designs the teeth you will live with. The brand name matters less than whether your bone, bite, and health can support a fixed arch.

This is for adults whose remaining teeth in one or both jaws are failing — advanced gum disease, broken-down crowns, or a denture they can no longer wear comfortably. It is a larger commitment than a single dental implant.

A badly mismatched bite may need jaw surgery or a different prosthetic design. We will say so if that is the case.

The first visit is the consultation. Dr. Curtis will perform an examination, review required imaging, and determine the optimized treatment plan for your particular situation. If remote anchorage is required, additional planning time will typically be required.

Surgery will be completed in either the office under IV sedation or in the operating room, depending on medical history and the extent of the surgery needed to give the patient a beautiful new smile.

The laboratory and restorative dentist will fabricate your teeth after the implants are placed.

Expect facial swelling, a soft diet, and several short follow-ups. Speech can feel odd until your tongue learns the new shape. Bruising can last longer than you expect.

This is major surgery. Risks include infection, implant failure, bite problems, and the need to redo a temporary or final prosthesis. Call the office if a temporary tooth cracks, an implant feels loose, or swelling worsens after the third day.
